We all know there are many ways to get your milligrams these days. Vaping, smoking, edibles, the list goes on. Tinctures, however, are one of the most underrated.
The first and most common way to use tinctures is orally. Typically I recommend holding it under your tongue for one minute. But you could also swallow it immediately or mix it into a beverage. There will be slightly different effects for these two different methods. If you let it sit under your tongue the effects will come on fairly quickly and may feel strong. If you drink it, the effects will come on slower and more gently.
If drinks aren’t your game you could always try adding it to your food! You can cook with tinctures! Typically they recommend using it for gummies or hard candies but the truth is you can use it in almost any dish. Tinctures have an MCT oil base or an alcohol base. We use MCT oil in ours.
You can give tinctures to your pet too! We’ve got you covered with tinctures specifically for pets. They come in delicious special flavors like roast beef for your puppies and tuna fish for your kitties! They are wonderful for anxiety and pain in animals. Animals have a higher number of cannabinoid receptors in the brain compared to humans. So CBD products tend to be very effective for our beloved pets.
The final way to use your tincture is topically. That’s right! You can rub it in directly or mix it with a bit of lotion first. This is the least frequent use of tinctures. Mainly because there are predosed lotions available. But if you feel like you just need a higher milligram or you want to give your lotion that extra kick then it can definitely do wonders.
